Interior of Harral-Wheeler Mansion, Golden Hill Street. Depicts bedroom. The house was built in 1847-48 and designed by architect Alexander Jackson Davis. The house was first owned by Henry K. Harral, mayor of Bridgeport from 1845-46. The house was then owned by Nathaniel Wheeler, owner of the Wheeler and Wilson Sewing Machine Company in 1866. The mansion was torn down in 1958 by the City of Bridgeport. |
